Quavo has shared that he is a father. The rapper revealed the news in a trailer for a short film tied to his upcoming album, QRÖMELIFE, according to the source report from the original outlet.
A Quiet Reveal in the Trailer
On Monday (Sept. 28), the Atlanta native posted the video to his Instagram page ahead of the album’s release. The montage pulls together a range of footage, including throwback Migos moments, album sessions for the new project and scenes of him moving into a new home. Tucked into the clips is a brief moment showing a baby girl.
Quavo captioned the post “New Beginnings New Blessings.” He did not directly say in the caption that the baby was his.
Confirmation Through Complex
Less than 24 hours later, Quavo confirmed in an interview with Complex that the child is his daughter. “It brings joy to me,” he said of becoming a father. “It brings a whole new reason why I’m doing this.”
He did not say who the child’s mother is. The source notes that Quavo has been dating professional gymnast and model Erica Fontaine for some years.
About QRÖMELIFE
QRÖMELIFE is executive-produced by Pharrell and is scheduled to be released on Friday (Oct. 2). Expected guests include Justin Timberlake, Yung Miami, A$AP Rocky, T.I., Tyler, the Creator, Future, Lil Baby and Offset.
The Offset appearance is notable because it marks his first collaboration with Quavo in more than four years. The two have not shared a track since appearing on Ye’s Donda 2 cut “We Did It” in 2022. Their last output together as Migos goes back to the 2021 album Culture III.
With the album days away, the trailer frames the project as a new chapter for the rapper, both professionally and personally.
